प्रश्नार्थ वाचक वाक्या: [Interrogative Sentence Forms]
Here is formula to form a question.
वाक्य में जिस शब्द से प्रश्न बनाना हो उसका लिंग (Identify GENDER) पहचानिए ।
वाक्य में जिस शब्द से प्रश्न बनाना हो उसकी विभक्ति (Recignize Parthama, Dvitiya, etc…) पहचानिए ।
अन्त में जो लिंग, विभक्ति और वचन आपने पहचाना हो वही लिंग, विभक्ति और वचन का किम् शब्दरूप चुनिए, प्रश्न बन जाएगा ।
वाक्य में जिस शब्द से प्रश्न बनाना हो उसका वचन (Determine Singular / Dual / Plural) पहचानिए ।

किम् = Which
प्रियवाक्यप्रदानेन सर्वे तुष्यन्ति जन्तवः। तस्मात्तदेव वक्तव्यं , वचने किं दरिद्रता।।
मीठी वाणी बोलने से सभी व्यक्ति प्रसन्न और संतुष्ट होते हैं इसलिए सदैव मधुर वचन ही बोलना चाहिए। वाणी हमारे अधीन है और इसका कोई मूल्य भी नहीं देना पड़ता तो ….. मीठे वचन बोलने में दरिद्रता कैसी?

किमर्थं अद्य वैदेहि संस्कृत वर्गे अनुपस्थित?
Why today Vaidehi is absent in Sanskrit Class?
किमर्थं प्रतिदिनं विलम्बेन आगच्छन्ति?
Why do you come late everyday?
किमर्थं इदानीं अपि कार्यं न आरब्धम्?
Why hasn’t the work begun?
विना कारणं किमर्थं गन्तव्यम्?
Why go there unnecessarily?
Notice that किमर्थं (KIMARTHAM) is made of 2 words.
किम् (Kim = Which) + अर्थम् (Artham = Purpose)
Together makes "WHY"
Therefore at some places you can also use just "kim".
e.g. किं भोः, भोजनमेव न करोति?
Why dear, you do not eat anything?
बुद्धिमान् विवेकी सन् अपि भवान् किमर्थम् एतत् अवगन्तुं न शक्तवान् ?
Being intelligent and wise, why you were still unable to understand this?
Notice Half “M” हलन्त (म् ) because next word starts with SWARA (they don’t affect halant M). Only VYANJANA affect it. किमर्थम् doesn’t turn into किमर्थं and remains किमर्थम् only.

ज्वरपीडितः वा? कदा आरभ्य? Fever? Since when?
परीक्षारम्भः कदा इति ज्ञातः वा? Do you know when is the examination going to begin?
सः कदा बहिः गतवान् इति अहं न जाने I dont know when he went out.
यदा स्वनाम श्रुतवान् तदा सः झटिति उत्थितवान् । When he heard his name he immediately stood up.
